The adventures of Lily and Ellie
Lily is the child in all of us, who is passionately curious and is full of wonder. She goes on adventures with the magical elephant Ellie, in their journey through different landscapes, with beautiful reminders on how to walk on Earth.
Lily and Ellie were partially inspired by Thay’s letter to the UNFCCC:
“There’s a revolution that needs to happen and it starts from inside each one of us. We need to wake up and fall in love with Earth. We’ve been homo sapiens for a long time. Now it’s time to become homo conscious. Our love and admiration for the Earth has the power to unite us and remove all boundaries, separation, and discrimination. Centuries of individualism and competition have brought about tremendous destruction and alienation. We need to re-establish true communication–true communion–with ourselves, with the Earth, and with one another as children of the same mother. We need more than new technology to protect the planet. We need real community and cooperation.” (www.plumvillage.org)

Balloon
Before my exploratory interview with a creative company in Copenhagen, it felt like this long giant leap into the unknown. The night before my interview, a good friend messaged me this: “When we take a leap, we pay for the experience of being in the air, not the landing. I hope it’s exhilarating up there.” This doodle is a reminder of that day and all the feelings in between.
“I’m deeply grateful to find a place where I can fuse my passion for the climate, communications, and people. I have profound gratitude for every step that has led to this and for every person I’ve learned from and pushed me to pursue this. You know who you are. For everyone who reached out to me during my points of uncertainty (and insecurity), thank you for giving me strength. The moments of shared fears, dreams, beers, coffee, wisdom, and courage made the unknown seem smaller.
I’m excited to draw the Bigger Picture with you all.”

Bonfire
This piece was inspired by the starriest nights of my life. I would fondly remember my hikes up the mountains — Cinco Picos, Abra, the Alps — down to the endless beach trips with those infinite skies beyond the horizon.

Cherry Blossom
Every morning, I would wake up to this beautiful cherry blossom tree in full bloom outside my window. And here, I found Lily and Ellie too. Every springtime, people flock to Bonn to celebrate the Kirschblütenfest (Cherry Blossom festival), where these elegant pink beauties fill the streets with color.
